At the Trains!

The Quantico Train Station has a train display called the PDQ train club and they let anyone come and see the trains the first Saturday of every month. I took the boys on Saturday and they had a blast. They have a big room all set up and they have tall stools the kids can pick and move from place to place so they can see everything. We were there for an hour. Jacob could have stayed all day. It was so much fun. The men that run it were so great with the kids and showed them how everything worked. Good times!!

Gingerbread House or Disaster?

Finished house
Jacob eating the icing
Putting on some finishing touches
making a path
What a mess. None of the pieces would stay together even when we gave them an hour to set. At one point the whole house was flat. I finally constructed a cardboard inner structure and tied a ribbon around just to hold it up. Disaster, but Jacob sure had a fun time decorating the roof as it kept sliding down (hahahaha). We finally got everything to stay. Oh well, better luck next year.

We Even Made a Snowman...

or two!

Jacob and I went back out in the snow in the afternoon and made our little snowman family. We had a blast!!

I Love the Snow

What a fun day. This was the first real snow the boy's have seen (Jacob saw it snow for 15 minutes in South Carolina a year ago with no accumulation). We got right out there and Jacob didn't want to come back inside. The Christmas season is certainly a magical one. I'm going to go turn on some Christmas music!!

Mmmmmmmm Chocolate chip cookies.

Jacob the Photographer

Just a click.

In the middle of eating his squash lunch.

Our camera has a remote control you can use to take pictures with just a click and Jacob loves using it. I moved the camera around and these are the images he captured with the remote. I would say he is a photographer in the making.
