Halloween Time!

War Machine and Wolverine are headed for the ultimate battle!!

Wolverine is on the attack with his claws

Wolverine gets in a few swipes but is it enough to defeat War Machine?

War Machine has the blocking technique mastered...

and he goes in for the head crusher move.

I guess he showed Wolverine who's boss!

Ooooooh you're so tough War Machine!!

I totally let him win mom. Can we go inside now?

Happy Halloween from our little kiddos!!
We pray you get more treats than tricks!!

The Nursey

I've had a little time lately to sew for our little girl so I made her a simple quilt.

I did super soft minky fabric on the back. I have never done that before and I'm in love. It worked out beautifully and now I've gotten myself into more work because the boy's want quilts with it on the back too. I can't blame them. I want one too!!

This is also the first time I have ever made a crib sheet. I found this tutorial online, how simple. Her crib skirt is handmade too. I even saved fabric by putting sticky velcro on the mattress support and then sew-on Velcro on the top of the crib skirt and then just stuck them together. If I had known that baby sewing was this easy I would have never bought nursery sets for the boy's. Anyway, the fabric I used for her was called Oh Deer! by Momo for Moda. I love the color scheme and that it's not so sugary sweet like most girl things. I like pink . . .  in moderation.

Next up is her wall. What to do, what to do????

It's Getting Close!!

Well here it is, the 35 week belly. Wow, she's a big girl. I can't believe the time is almost here to welcome this sweet baby girl into our family. Troy snapped this pic when we got back from our walk the other night. We are all so excited to meet her!!

First Day of School

Well, my babies are growing up. It is still blowing my mind. Yesterday was the first day of school at our house. Jacob is officially a Kindergartener (excuse me . . . when did that happen) and Eric is starting his second year of preschool. It is such a blessing to be able to teach these bright little boy's all they need to know. Jacob's favorite parts of school are Bible time and story writing time. (His stories are really out of this world. We may have to "publish" some of them and turn them into Christmas gifts.) Eric loves Bible time too and adores coloring and cutting all his worksheets. He squirms at story time but can answer all the questions so we are working on sitting still. I will never tire of the miracle of Eric, this lively, smart little boy, whom we were told wouldn't make it through his first night. To say that he has proven them wrong is the biggest understatement on Earth. He even passed a big hurdle when he tested out of speech last month after only 2 years. Completely amazing considering he was diagnosed with a neurological speech disorder. Kiddo YOU ROCK!!!!!
Bright and Bushy Tailed Monday Morning.
Could you try to act excited Eric *wink, wink*

And of course no photo shoot is complete without the goofball pic!!

Thank you, Thank you!!

Boy oh boy did we get a box of goodies this last week. The boy's thought it was Christmas in July. Thank you Aunt Cher from the bottom of 2 very excited little boy's hearts. They think you are the best!! (They're totally right!!) Thank you for always thinking of our little one's!

If a picture is worth a thousand words than a video is worth a million. LOL!! Enjoy!

I am still here. . . I think!!

Well, although my blog may lead you to believe I have been doing nada, I have been quite busy. But I must say my friends have been even busier than me (no pun intended) but there have been babies galore lately. I had to break out my sewing machine in celebration of their little sweeties!!! Wow you all make cute kiddos.

Project #1
Baby Annika's quilt

Oh man, all that pink!! Makes me wish I had a little girl!!

Project #2
Baby Daniel's Quilt

I loved the prairie points on the inside so he can grab on them and chew them up!!

There were a couple other projects but I forgot to take pics before I sent them on darn it!!

Christmas has also come and gone since my last post.

The boy's got to see a little bit of snow before it melted back in Nebraska.

Eric got quite a laugh on his reaction to the first gift he opened

He was NOT a fan of his fireman puppet. He likes animal puppets but obviously he does not like puppets that are people. Needless to say there was no poker face going on. He truly expressed his hatred for this gift but for some reason it was hilarious to us. He know's what he likes and that wasn't it. Better luck next year.

Fear not he did get a present that he LOVED. Look at that face when he opened his puzzles. Woo Hoo!! That's a keeper

Jacob showing some love for his Ninjago sword. He still talks about Christmas at Grandma and Grandpa's all the time.

He also got a spiderman "shaving" set that he had to try out immediately. Anything to be like daddy!!

It was such a treat to see family. We truly miss living near you all. The boy's had the time of their lives nerf gun fighting with all their cousins and just being together.

Well, that's all she wrote for today.
